About Us

“Adaptive surfing history was made on October 5th, 6th, and 7th 2018 in Oceanside California on the south side of Oceanside Pier. This was the site of the second annual U.S. Open Adaptive Surfing Championships hosted by Stoke for Life Foundation and Powered by Challenged Athletes Foundation. Over the course of the weekend this contest would prove that elite world class adaptive surfing on a professional level is here to stay. The best of the best showed up to battle for the U.S. Open Adaptive Surfing Championship and a piece of the only prize money pool in adaptive surfing’s short history.

Seventy-four competitors from twelve different countries came to Oceanside California to compete in twelve different disabled divisions where adaptive surfers traveled from all over the globe to compete for the U.S. Open Adaptive Surfing crown. Over $19,000 dollars in prize money was given away to the winners in all twelve divisions.”
